No video thru GPU

I've just built my (first) computer, and while I was setting it up I had the monitor running off the GPU (Sapphire Radeon 7950) and it worked fine, but shortly afterward the display stopped working through the DVI port. It works fine through the motherboard VGA and DVI outputs, but not getting any signal from the GPU.

GPU fans are spinning, and little LED on the GPU is on. It's definitely getting power. I tried fiddling with the BIOS, but still not getting anything.

You may need to set it to PCIe/PEG graphics in the BIOS, instead of integrated.

I've tried that. But my BIOS just then defaults back to 'Auto', which I presume means it's not seeing anything in the PCIE

Reseat the GPU, and check the power cables are plugged in.
