So I just moved to a new place and wanted to set up a Wi-Fi connection but could only do Ethernet? There are no Wi-Fi adapters anywhere and I tried some CMD code with no luck. I can't use Ethernet with the way everything is set up so Wi-Fi is a must.

Solution

If it is a desktop, it is unlikely it has a WiFi adapter, unless you personally installed one.
And if you personally installed one...you'd know.

1. What type of system is this? Does it actually have a WiFi adapter?

2. What router and ISP account are you trying to connect to?

It's a custom computer and idk if it ever had an adapter I always used Ethernet. I'm using a Shaw router.

Is there a way to install a Wi-Fi adapter?
