Question No wifi connection but ethernet connection for my ASUS RT-AC68U router

My RT-AC68U router can't connect with any wireless devices at my home. The two 2.4GHz and 5GHz indicators are on.

However, the ethernet connections are fine. I have updated the firmware to the latest yesterday. I restarted the router a few times and at times, the wifi connection worked for a while and then died. Any insight or suggestions?

I just started having the same problem with the rt-ac68w.

If you have an android device, you can use WIFI analyzer to see if your actually outputting any RF energy. It is possible your router has a hardware problem.

Can you suggest a free one? I am assuming you point your phone to the router to detect the signal, right?

I just reset the router and have had a solid connection for about 3 hours.

Me too, but the resumed connection lasted only 10min to 1 hour. And very strangely, out of over 10 devices, one has a permanant connection and the rest have interrupted connection.

k man the reason i might have been able to tell you is iv had almost every isp in the usa and cannada and i keep almost all the setup manuls and most of the time you have to go to the website on self setups to get your wifi ready but the earthernet works
