When opening Windows Explorer nothing is displayed - NOTHING! This occurs when using My Computer etc, anything that's a Window is completely blank.
The desktop and icons all show ok and all files etc are still on the HDD + all apps work fine. I inserted the Win2000 CD hoping for a repair option but instead I get the option to upgrade to Win2K - if I procede with this will it fix this problem without harming and of the files/directories on my PC?

Hi there.

I believe that's a problem caused by I.E. (internet Explorer)
You should also have a "diferent" control panel, not being able to see it as web page, or being impossible to see the program list in the add/remove.

If so, the probable cause was a instalation failure with I.E. Try some of this info to try to correct the problem. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;q293907

Linux doesn't have I.E :p

Linux makes an AMD K/6 350Mhz run like a P4 2.4 Ghz. Why do I have Win2k Pro??
