I have a sudden link arris router. Its a combo unit.

I've been running great up until this morning.
I'm wired direct and getting nothing. Tried different browsers.
My laptop is still working fine through the wireless.

No Idea what's going on..

OK,
So, It's not that my internet isn't completely dead on the desktop.
it loads google.. usually..
it won't load gmail.
I got ookla to load and ran a speed test. Came up with a ... larger than normal ping of 36 but the speed was where it was supposed to be ~80down/~7.5up
That was 1 test, I ran others and they always failed at the ping test.

When I saw that, I opened up a comand prompt and attempted to ping google. Well, ping is broken. Not recognized as an internal or external command.

Also tried a winsock reset.. that didn't work either.

malwarebytes and avast show no issues.

Here is the ipconfig results.

I ----------------- all the addresses.

It looks normal. I read there maybe some specific issues with KILLER based controllers. Try a different DNS. Make sure you use the LAN driver from your Mobo's vendor, and not Microsoft's.

For future reference, we don't need your WAN IP, or DNS IP (if same as WAN) but otherwise 192... 10.... are NAT addresses and everybody get those. Folks can only get to you if they know your WAN IP.

Different DNS?
Like, just change the address?
I'll do some googling. Never really liked networking lol.

also, Can a failed update be the cause? Ping doesn't work either.
And my update history has a lot of FAIL in it..
