No Wireless Connection After Factory Reset

I got a new laptop recently and decided to pass my new one onto my younger brother. To get rid of all of my clutter and give him a fresh start with it, I used the Windows 7 install disc to factory reset the computer. However, I get the message "No connections available" when trying to connect to a network and I don't know how to locate the driver that needs to be updated. Any suggestions on where to look?

get the model number of the laptop and then use it to get the drivers off the manufacturers website
