No wireless connection but direct connection works

Hello,

I have a wireless att dsl modum with uverse and wireless laptop connectivity. the wireless somehow stopped, but i can connect directly and reach the internet. I have ping tested the nic card and it seems fine. I have rebooted the modum, the computer to no avail any ideas??

Can you plz. explain the problem? Why do you think the wireless has stopped?
