Im trying to resurrect an old computer of mine. I've got a clean install of windows 7 and I put in a new wireless card (TP- Link 300mbps Wireless N Adapter) I installed the utitly and drivers and I was able to find my wireless network and connect. As soon as I try to use the internet the connection disconnects and the wireless card is unable to find my home network as well as any other networks in the area which it was able to see before.
When I restart the computer it will be able to find my network and other networks. When I connect it very quickly disconnects and cant find any networks. I have a laptop in exactly the same position which can connect no problem.
I need to replace the CMOS battery which I will be doing very shortly but I dont know if this can have any effect on the wirless card?

Im trying to resurrect an old computer of mine. I've got a clean install of windows 7 and I put in a new wireless card (TP- Link 300mbps Wireless N Adapter) I installed the utitly and drivers and I was able to find my wireless network and connect. As soon as I try to use the internet the connection disconnects and the wireless card is unable to find my home network as well as any other networks in the area which it was able to see before.
When I restart the computer it will be able to find my network and other networks. When I connect it very quickly disconnects and cant find any networks. I have a laptop in exactly the same position which can connect no problem.
I need to replace the CMOS battery which I will be doing very shortly but I dont know if this can have any effect on the wirless card?
