SO a friend of mine gave me her Samsung NP355E5C-A01US laptop and tells me she can't connect to any wireless in her house. I figured the wireless was turned off. I turn it on and nothing...I checked and all of the drivers seem to be installed okay. There are no exclamation points in Device Manager. It came preinstalled with Windows 8 and she upgraded to Windows 10 Pro. I checked the manufacturer site and there is no option to download drivers. It works fine when connected with Ethernet. Not sure what else to do at this point as I am stumped with a capital S

Here is the manufacturer site I was looking on:

Solution
It is really bad when the manufacture of the laptop does not have drivers. Win 10 has all kinds of issues running on many older machines especially when the manufactures decided they were not going to provide new drivers.....they of course want you to just buy a new machine.

In the device manager you should be able to see what chip it is using many. Many are artheros or realtek. You then need to go to the wireless chip manufactures web site and see if they have win 10 drivers for that chip. You will find most that had drivers for win7 or later have win10 drivers.

What is strange is these drivers are provided to microsoft and they seem to never load the correct ones on installations.

If it has Win10, you can have it search for the driver...if it doesn't find it, usually loading the driver that it originally came with will get it up and working...

If you have access to another computer (or can get that one on ethernet), download 3DPNet and install that to the laptop, run that and have it install the wireless driver it finds, should be good to go after that...if not, there may be more underlying problems

Sadly there is no Wireless Card option in Device manager. I did use that 3D driver thing and it updated the NIC card. Wireless still seems to be an issue

All Set....I unseated and reseated the wireless card. Rebooted the laptop and viola....All good.

Thanks for the HELP
