No xmp and ram stuck at 1333hz.

My ram is stuck at 1333hz even though its 1600hz ram and there is no xmp on my motherboard bios.

I have an msi h97 guard pro
8gb of ram and its 2xG.SKILL NS Series 4GB 1600
And a pentium g3258 overclocked to 4.0ghz

I also updated bios and all that, but this was my old motherboard that I used with my i5 4690k and i had 12gb and it had them fine at 1600hz.

I looked online and couldn't find a solution.

The G3258 is limited to 1333 Mhz RAM (actually overclockable to 1400Mhz) unless you have a board which allows you a full overclock. I can get there using a Z97M OC Formula. http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2706290/g3258-memory-overclocking-project-reults.html
