Question Noctua AM4 Mounting Kit for Nh-D14 Question

Hi All.

I've just fitted an old NH-D14 cooler to my new AMD Ryzen motherboard and so needed the AM4 mounting kit.

Stupidly though afterwards I discovered I missed a step.... step 1!! There are new 'fastening brackets' which are supposed to replace the ones on the actual cooler. It says in the instructions that you don't need to swap them if you have the NH-D14 SE2011... but mine is the original NH-D14.

The cooler has gone on fine and seems secure. My Ryzen 3600 is idling I would say at around 35 degrees (it fluctuates wildly but apparently this is normal).

But it's bugging me that I've not fitted those proper brackets. I don't want to go to the hassle of taking the cooler off, cleaning paste, reapplying and refixing only to discover they're no different.

It's a bit of a niche question but does anyone know how the actual cooler 'fastening brackets' differ from the NH-D14 to the NH-D14 SE2011?! Is it worth me messing around?

Cheers!
