I have this fan connected to my Gigabyte GA-Z77-D3H motherboard (in sysfan1 header) and when i boot up it will spin for a few seconds and then stop. sometimes it will move a tiny bit like its trying to start but doesn't have enough power to make a full rev. (giving it a nudge will get it started.)
I'm using gigabytes "Easytune 6" to change the fan speed and usually disabling the controller in the program will get it started. However sometimes this wont work and I'm forced to reboot and try the process again.
Changing the PWM settings in BIOS doesn't make any difference (using F18 BIOS if that makes a difference).
Basically to me it looks like the motherboard isn't giving enough Volts to the fan on its own. I have a 650W seasonic power supply so that shouldn't be the problem, right?
Any suggestions would be appreciated,
David.
