Noctua NH-D14 fit in 200R?

The corsair 200R is 8.3" across, I know it's probably going to be a tight fit but will it work?, I use X79 build and currently use a side fan but the side fan can be removed if necessary.

Also while cleaning thermal paste some thermal paste got onto the green area just on the sides of the heat spreader, i cleaned it off with a dry coffee filter, will this cause damage, to my understanding only the underside of a CPU is sensitive.

EDIT: 16.9" x 8.3" x 19.6"

The cooler is just over 6" tall should fit fine in a 8.3" wide case.
