Hi There

I have recently managed to get a second hand NH-D15 from a friend but he had been using an LGA socket and lost the parts required for mounting it to an AM3+ Socket.

My Question is would this mounting kit give me the parts required to mount it to my motherboard, it doesnt mention anything about AM3 compatibility but some of the parts look similar to what i would need.;- http://www.aquatuning.co.uk/air-cooling/cpu-air-cooler/18568/noctua-mounting-kit-nm-i115x

If any of you know of a mounting kit that would work im open to suggestions.

Cheers!

Solution
Noctua will mostlikely help you. They got one of best support if not the best.
If they won't send you what you need they should atleast tell you where you can get it.

That mounting kit you posted should be for intel motheroards.

In case they won't help you for some reason I should still have those parts from my NH-D15 (can check when I get home) so can send it to you. But best is to contact noctua 1st.
contact Noctua, they may send it to you for free. Im not sure if itll matter if youve purchased it 2nd hand.
Its their normal practice to send out mounting kits to customers if any future sockets may arise.
One of the reasons why theyre are such a great company, apart from their fantastic build quality.

Ah, i didnt think they would do that if i didn't have proof of purchase

I have contacted Noctua, Hopefully they will get back to me soon.

You would do that? If they cant help me then I will take you up on that.

I checked my NH-D15 package and found Noctua SecuFirm2 package for AMD (Link to image)

Guess that is what you need. In installation instruction it says only about AM2, but from what I understand AM2, AM3, AM3+ are all compatible in terms of cpu fan installation.

Also it says that you need backplate which most AMD motherboards should have but in case your MB does not have one you should contact noctua and they will provide one. That backplate was not included in package for AMD.

Yeah i pretty much have everything i need (including the backplate) apart from the spacers, screws and the brackets. That is all that the AMD requires.

Im still waiting on a reply from Noctua, Ill let you know when they get back to me. Hopefully today!
