I want to lower my CPU temp with a better CPU cooler then my stock one, so i came across these two, the first one supports AM4 but looks a bit weaker. the second one needs a adapter, but looks like it can lower my temps. which one should i get? oh and i also have a Gigabyte microATX board if that makes a difference.

Solution
The U12S has a considerably higher capacity vrs the L9A, so will be considerably more affective. However, (no the motherboard doesn't matter) the U12S is also much taller than the L9A, (that's an ultra low profile cooler), so case cpu clearance is the biggest obstacle.

Clearance is the only real consideration, whether that's case clearance or ram clearance.

You'll need to know cpu clearance, it's a must, before researching any aftermarket cooler.
