We already knew that the only difference between LGA1700 and LGA1851, as far as cooler mounting goes, was an increase to the maximum mounting pressure. The cooler mount spacing was not changing. Everyone was up in arms about the fact they would "need" coolers that had higher mounting pressure, and that's simply not true; just because the maximum pressure is increased does not mean that higher pressure is required. Granted, we have no idea how high of TDP Intel is going to go for in its 15th generation, but if the past couple generations are anything to go by, then buckle your seatbelts and keep an electrical-fire rated extinguisher close-by.
