[SOLVED] Noctua NH-U14S or Noctua NH-U12S

I have a i7-6700 with a standard cooler on an ATX board. I want to replace the stock cooler because it's too loud. Which should I buy? The price difference is only $10 usd.
Is it worth it to upgrade on an old PC anyways?

12U better for silent builds, 14U better if u decide to overclock

Might also make sure you can support the cooler height in your case:

NH-U12S: 158mm (without fan)
NH-U14S: 165mm (without fan)

Neither are incredibly tall by cooler standards, a few cases have clearance problems, although most recently designed ones allow for large air coolers like these.

Not overclocking. So 12U is quiter? I might get into using Blender in the future
