NOCTUA NH-U14S vs NH-D14

I am battling to pick a cooler for my Intel I7 4770K.
Please suggest one >>
NOCTUA NH-U14S vs NH-D14

I think NH-U14S is advanced one right.

The d14 will give you lower temperatures in idle and under load. There are other posts in this forum that have graphs up to show you how much, but under load the d14 will be about 4 degrees cooler. Sorry I can't copy the link because I'm on my phone and in class.

But definitely go with the d14, it's a HUGE cooler but worth every penny

From what i can tell the NH-U14S cools better with less load... But when the temps start to get up there ( OC + 100% CPU load ) The NH-D14 pulls ahead.

i have the d14 on an 8350 stock clock and at full power during full load it never goes beyond 30 degrees celsius. in idle the temp is so low it doesn't even register properly. its big but its the best air cooler i have ever seen. its on par with several watercoolers.

Thank you for sharing your opinion.
So whats your call.....NH-U14S or NH-D14 ?
I am more willing to go for NH-U14S because of the 300 grams less weight which it puts on the MOBO.
Any suggestions

depends if you plan to OC as much as possible get the d14. i keep my case on its side so the cooler doesn't hang but this is because my case has exhaust grills on almost every side.

if you only want some mild oc or just to keep your case a bit cooler get the U14S. Its not as powerful as the d14 but its still a dam good cooler
