noctua nhd15 temp

just recently purchased an nhd15 cooler and everything has been running great. idle temps around 15-19c and load temps around 40c. (fx-6300) however today i notice my idle temps are up around 40c with this cooler? and i have no idea why. with only around 2-3% cpu usage. for this type of hi end air cooler those idle temps are way too high.

Either the fans aren't running, your thermal paste has dried out, or there's something wrong with your mounting.

Try looking and seeing if the fans are working. Could be the motherboard is being told that it wants to work silently, try going into the BIOS and looking at CPU fan header speeds.
