NOD32 & Windows Defender Issue

Hi

I just noted that because of this 2 programs my computer perfomance has slow down. I would like to know how to make them DO NOT START WHEN I TURN ON THE PC. or in other word DO NOT START ON STARTUP or when the pc is loading. I have been looking for those options in both programs but couldnt find them.

Do you guys know where they are located?

Enter msconfig in the start -> run box and look under the Startup tab.

I know about that option but I will feel more safe if I do it by the program way. If I uncheck those 3 options will any of the processes of the antivirus still run? and what about the windows defender? why does it only have 1 checkbox ?
