Noise from xfx 4890

So i have a 4890 and for some reason when i load crysis or 3dmark it starts to make a really annoying high pitched sound and i don't know what to do with it ?

i do get good fps in crysis and in 3dmark so i get the performance from the card as you would expect!

so is the noise a cause for concern ?

its Coil noise. it will usualy fade with time or even go away. i had the same xact issue with my 4850 but it went away within a couple of hours.

if it bothers you and doesnt go away id return it myself. stuff like that drives me crazy

Same i just got a 280 and it makes nosie as well so it may be the mobo but im sure the nosie from before was the GPU

Its luck of the draw, My X1900 did it, my 8800GTX did it. It will not hurt anything, but the quieter your case is, the more you tend to hear it.
