[SOLVED] Noisy PSU fan

I have a Xilence 600W PSU that has become quite noisy recently. Tried cleaning it, to no avail. When I take it out of the computer-case and place it so the fan is pointing to the side instead of down clears the noise up. Since this leaves my computer-casing wide open this does not seem like a long term solution.

It starts making noise as soon as windows has booted up.

Is this something that can be fixed or will the psu have to be replaced? The stupid thing is less than half a year old.

Does the following link show your model PSU?

https://www.computeruniverse.net/en/xilence-performance-c-xp600-600-watt

My thought is that the fan bearings have worn but more information is needed.

Where did you purchase the PSU?

Can you describe the noise a bit more? Any loose screws that could allow movement and vibrations?

May be a fan blade hitting the housing....

Time is not so much the enemy of PSU as is usage.

Has the PSU been heavily used at peak or near to peak wattage? Heavy constant gaming, intense graphics or video work, even bit-mining?

Update your post to include full system hardware specs and OS information.
