If you want to browse the phone contents, no internet connection needed!
If you want to connect to internet through phone, your mobile connection must be GPRS activated & You service provider should support Internet Connection!

U need an micro USB cable. I can use mine with same cable from my Logitech performance MX mouse or digital camera too, so check if u have anything compatible and not even know that.
