Question Non ECC vs ECC

I recently bought a motherboard and the company sent me the wrong one. They sent me a x79 2011 socket and so far decided to just by a cpu for it. I bought a E5 2670. What I want to know is, it says it supports ECC memory but will it support non? The board I ended up getting is a Kllisre X79m2 3.0

Supported memory type: non-ecc / reg ecc / ecc (the server RAM cannot work with desktop RAM, has a stackability problem.)
which means u can use any type, but u cant combine ecc with non-ecc

Boards that supports ECC memory modules, also support NON-ECC modules. But you’ll lack the error correction feature.
