Non IBM harddiscs in an IBM server

Is there a problem to add non IBM harddiscs in an IBM server? What needs to be considered?

Should be no problem at all. Drives meet certain standards - size, power requirements, interface (SCSI, SATA, etc). As long as those requirements are met you should be fine.
