non-k 1151 overclock with Gigabyte z170x Gaming 7 motherboard

just got the new mobo and ready to swap out the old.
the overclocking.guide is showing 2 bios not sure which one and further searches showing different versions.

anyone who has this motherboard and overclocking non-k cpu please let me know which bios you are using.

Its the skylake cpu's 6th gen/lga 1151).
i3 6300.
i5 6400/6500/6600.
i7 6700
its a backdoor approach that can be done on the skylakes only.
I have no clue about the earlier generations because I was living under a rock since core2quads! (q9300 lil baby quad core)

right now the price has dropped big time so best to just get the 6600k. I was considering getting the 6600k but I already have a good i6400 that can run 4.6ghz.

im actually back at my overclock speed. trying to see how high i can go

**btw if anyone else is having trouble with the bios', its the 'F7D' version. Made sense to go with the latest version of that.

Ya man I paid 319 for my 6700k then my pc store has a 30 day price match guarantee so last week I found it as cheap as 269 so I got 50 bucks bak from their price match. I got my 6700k for 269 very excited and the 6600k was under 200 last week. Holidays are the best for this stuff.

I remember when i was building my skylake rig the prices were +$100 +$200 each step up. now its barely $20-50.
damn 30 days price match is OP!
I have to say though, 3/5 of the parts i bought recently were price matched saving about $100 feels gooood!

yo rig looks beefy, you have any benchmarks i can compare with?

Just a few I literally built it 3 weeks ago. I get between 1450-1497 marks on ITU. My Fire Strike score was 18,890 two days ago. I think that was before I installed the latest nvidia driver but I could be mistaken. It says Graphics score 24,634 physics score 13,454 combined score 8,818 and the overall score up top was 18,890. I don't have any recent Unigine passes. They were all a couple drivers ago but I'll run some passes and let you know.
