Hi guys, i am planning to build a PC using a Non-K kaby lake processor since i don't have any intention to do some overclock (although right now i am running i7 920 OC @3.8 GHz). I only need the processor and the motherboard, since i already have GTX 1060 from Galax EXOC. Iplan to add one M.2 SSD on my build, and my budget for the processor + motherboard may be around $500. Any suggestion appreciated, thanks in advance.

I spend $500 on my i7 7700k ($350) and Z270 mobo ($150) so you can bring that # down if you're trying to spend less, if not I strongly recommend that combo because from 1070 and up (I know you said you have a 1060) the faster processors allow the GPU to render more FPS and better minimum FPS. Since most don't upgrade CPU/mobo often I'd say get the best one you can.

Other options: non-k i5 ($180) and H270 mobo ($100). You can also do a 6th gen K-CPU/Z170 build and save some money on each part, I was considering this over my current build but at the time there were no great deals on 6th gen parts but I have seen a few since.
