So basically I heard that Intel will soon be releasing a microchip update to block overclocking their non-K Skylake chips. Is there any way to get around this, like flashing the old BIOS [couldn't you manually flash the old Bios over the updated by specifying a command switch for the flash utility (tell it to ignore BIOS versioning)] on a motherboard, or will this have no effect. Also how can you tell which motherboards still support it and which ones are no longer going to be supporting it.

Thanks you all in advance for the help!

I would of thought just stick with the older supported bios ?? that's if they did not ''adjust'' that as well by now if it was tried to be downloaded today ?

I guess you would need to flash back and see how and what you end up with

heck I also would of figure intel would of had them supporting bios's remove from the download page as well ??/ who knows with that crap skylake and all its issues anyway??
