Hi guys,

I never found a relevant thread on the internet so here it goes.

I have found LED devices to be triggers of my Migraine attacks. For example LED flash-lights. Plus when the migraine attack starts, every second I look at LED screen types it intensifies my migraine exponentially. The problem is that I am an IT Manager and I spend most of my time in front of a computer screen so its really hurting my work performance. Please help me figure this out.

So I've been wondering to ask experts on this forum to learn if anyone knows of latest displays that do NOT use LEDs and are still good quality?

Moreover I can share my experience with three different displays at home and describe their affects on my migraine condition. Some of them are unbearable and others are fine.

1 - My phone: Note 4 : Unbearable to look at during a migraine attack. Super AMOLED display.
2 - My Desktop Monitor: S22B300B Samsung : No longer use because it almost instantly causes migraines even at 5% brightness. LED-backlit LCD monitor / TFT active matrix.
3 - X1 Carbon 1st Gen: TN Panel : Very comfortable screen, does not cause migraines nor intensify them, however the migraine doesn't subside when looking at this screen. I'm not sure if this uses a CCFL or LED. Please help me find that out as well.

I'm not technical enough to draw the significant difference between these screens but I am sure experts on this forum can figure out my problem from the experience of the three types of screens I have shared. I personally feel the culprit is the LED and so I would love it if someone can share latest non-led screens that won't hurt my head, but if you guys have other suggestions I am open to all of them.

Thank you very much guys and God Bless you.

To my knowledge, all LCD panels these days are LED backlit. I don't know if you can still get displays that are not LED backlit any more.
Your X1 Carbon also uses a LED backlit panel.
Perhaps what is intensifying your migraines is the blue light coming from those displays.
Have you tried using a warmer white point on your screens? It will make things look a little redder, but might easy the discomfort somewhat.
