Question Non-native resolution when I start Windows

Hi! It's been a couple of days since I'm having this issue. The VGA I have on this rig is a HD Radeon 6770, the rest of the rig is pretty simple, 3 GB ram, Win 32 bits, Athlon II x64 2.41 ghz, and an ASUS M2Nxxxx Motherboard.

So here's the issue: When I turn on my PC, the display shows a resolution of 800x600. I must then go to resolution options, and press on "Identify" so Windows can identify my monitor once again. Once I do this, the resolution goes back to 1920x1080 and it pops the sound of when a new hardware is detected.

What can I do? Can this be because of something heat related?

In advanced, thanks!

Win 32 bits is a very vague identification of the OS you're on. Might want to list your specs like so:
CPU:
Motherboard:
Ram:
SSD/HDD:
GPU:
PSU:
Chassis:
OS:

Now, try uninstalling your GPU drivers and reinstall the last known stable driver you were working with. You could source the latest drivers from AMD's support site but some/most have complained about it giving a blank display for lack of proper support. Also make sure your board has the latest BIOS update.
