Hi there. I just had my pc guy do a small hardware update. I bought a bigger solid state drive for my O/S, 500 GB. Cool. I still have my old solid state, 240 GB, installed. My O/S is working fine on my pc. Can I clean up the old drive? I don't forsee a problem, but.......I wanted an opinion. Thanks.

Solution

Before you do anything with the old drive, test.

Power off
Disconnect the old drive
Power up
Does it boot correctly?

If so, then delete all the partitions on it, and proceed on.
Disk Management to delete, or diskpart at the commandline.
