Hi, I'm in the process of "upgrading" my phantom full tower rig for a mini itx variant with the Corsair 250D. I'm on a tight budget and cant really afford the expensive z97 intel motherboards. Im really diggin' the Asus
H97I (http://pcpartpicker.com/part/asus-motherboard-h97iplus) but I can't seen to find out whether or not it can allow for overclocking. Not a huge deal breaker, but I just snagged an i5 4690k for less than $190 at my local Frys so I thought I'd look into getting an itx board that could overclock without spending more than $110. If the ASUS H97I cant overclock anyone got any suggestions for itx mobo's that could?

Well usually on ASUS websites, when its OC'able, they state it, for this they didnt....

Hm, I couldn't find any mention of it either on their webpage for the mobo. The reason I has asked this question in the first place was because I had heard intel was cracking down on these bios updates for "non-Z OC" by releasing mandatory firmware updates, it was written of in an article here back in july I think... Anyways I want'ed to get a straight answer to see if the feature was still present in H series motherboards, but I guess the only way to find out is if I pull the trigger on that purchase... again not a deal-breaker but would be a waste of an unlocked cpu. I never have these problems with AMD lol

Huh, didn't know ASrock allowed OC'ing on there mobo's too. Maby I should get an ASrock board then to play it safe. Funny thing is that I was considering buying the very board you linked but I saw the all-black ASUS board and thought it looked sexier lol. Anyways, looks like ill get the ASrock H97M-itx then, thanks logainofhades

Thanks, well I don't want to risk it so I'll just go with the ASrock board. They sell the ASrock board at my local Fry's so I'll pick it up on black Friday since it's right around the corner. Thanks for the suggestion though!
