All my games are giving me a directx error. I tried opening different games and none of them will open or work properly. Most of them give the same directx error. I'm pretty sure I didn't download or do anything with my pc at all, in fact I think I played a game that same day in the morning. Not just games but my pc in general has also been acting slow after this.
Things I've tried:
PC specs:
windows 10 home 64 bit
amd ryzen7 2700
8gb ram
geforce gtx 1060 3gb
I'm at a complete loss as I don't know what could've been the action to initiate all these problems. Any suggestion would help a ton since I've already tried a lot of things I found on other forums and youtube videos, which none of them seemed to make things better.

Things I've tried:
- restarting pc
- updating gpu drivers
- downgrading to older gpu driver
- tried to upgrade to latest directx version, told me that I already had the latest version
- downloaded a program to see drivers that need to be updated > none
- defragmanted C drive
- reinstalled windows (quick version where I keep all my data and apps)
