None of my audio ports (rear and front) work

I have a problem with almost all of my audio ports on my pc, to make it short:
Front panel:
mic jack: if I plug a mic in and listen to the mic I hear a lot of noise and no voice.
audio jack: works but with background noise all the time

Rear:
mic jack: just doesn't work. my pc recognizes if I plug anything in but it doesnt pick any sound
audio jack: only thing that works lol but also a litle bit noise but almost nothing

I have no idea how to fix it but it seems that there is a problem with signal or something?
My PC is an old Medion akoya with an ECS H67H2-EM mobo but you find almost nothing about it on the internet.

Do you know what your default audio device happens to be? It could have been changed to the display audio output on the HDMI cable unknowingly.

Open the Sound control panel (type that in Cortana search box) and check to see which is the default device...it should have the check mark on it.

I don't use HDMI, I use VGA (yes I know it sucks but a new DVI cable is on the way)

did you check it though... there's also a digital output device on some systems.
