I have a msi x99s gaming 7, and I can only get my computer to start with 1 stick in slot 7, whenever i try to put the other 3 slots in 1, 3 and 5 it makes the computer not boot. My Ram is DDR4 2400 4gb Ballistix. I read somewhere else I needed to update my BIOS and I did, I can find anymore possible problems.

Solution
What CPU cooler? Try loosening the cooler, then snug it down screw tight, many overtighten and that can throw off the MC (memory controller)...Does each stick work by itself? Were they all in a single package?

Yeah it turns out the two ram I was trying to stick in the slots 1, 3 went bad stopping the POST. They were all from the same package. I got 1/2 my RAM working. Thank you ! I'll just get them replaced, seeing that the ram in slots 5,7 work in 1,3, but you also taught me that over-tightening can throw off the MC !
