Hey so here is my specs and this is my problem.. I uninstalled all drivers from the previous gtx560 and all nvidia stuff. Turned off the PC, installed the new card, restart the PC and it will not boot past the BIOS screen. If i leave if for about 3minutres the screen will change to a black screen with a single underscore (_) in the top left corner. If i replace the graphics care with the old gtx560 everything is fine again and it boots to windows.

On the actual card there is 1 8pin pci-e aux input or whatever its called. Coming out of my PSU is a cable which looks like this.

I am not sure if the 6+2pin going into the 8pin slot is the problem? The card has a red light on it and the fan spins but stops (I'm told these cards the fan stops below a certain temp anyway though) So there is power going into the card but i can't get past the BIOS screen into windows to install the drivers. Also with the new card install it wont let me press f8 and go into those option. I can spam f8 on restart and it just doesn't take me there.

New mobo new psu? wrong card? what am i doing wrong

Solution
While your tinkering, call Asus.... my last call was 78 minutes on hold so might as well burn that time tryomg different things to see if ya can figure it out.
Damn. Thanks for the fast replys. There is no other PCIE cables from the psu. The ones im using have a tape around them labled [8pin PCI-E] but there is 2x 6pins and 1x2pin. Can you buy adapters for a 2x6pin to 1x8pin? Also is 750watt is enough power for the card anyway?

Ok, so I was wrong it is actually WHITE light.. its not RED... Also i have tried the 6+2 pin that is the only option that fits. 6+2=8pin. I figured that.. It just won't get past bios still..

Hey just letting you guys know I updated my bios and it has solved the problem. I had a 2012 version of bios its now a 2013 version. Thanks for the help people. Very fast responses on this forum, love ya work. Cheers
