Firstly, I have never taken the time to learn much about networking.
Question: I have AT&T Uverse and have used a wireless connection since it was installed 3 years ago. I'm upgrading my PC and would really like to have my internet connection wired, but the gateway is on the other side of the house. Anyone have good solutions? I've used the powerline adapters, but I was not impressed which it which may have had something to do with the old wiring in my 1949 house. Would adding a router to the Uverse 2Wire Gateway improve my wireless if a wired connection is not practical?
