Hi there im a relative noob this is my 2nd pc build in 7 years but only know the basics i set up my new rig about 5 days ago and have tried using youtube to increase my Ram speed from its speed of 2600Mhz at which it arrived to a higher speed. im content with anything around 3600MHz if heat or anything is an issue with running at 4000MHz as 2600MHz is relatively low for what i paid.

The issue im having is in bios i tried switich to docp then the bios failed to boot i tried updateing my bios to the latest version and still ram doesnt increase so running it at 2600 seems to be my only solution for now. also i tried doin it without OC my cpu and also with turning PBO on in the CPU again same results.

point to note when i reset my bios to deault my M2 doesnt appear and i have to manually go into boot and set the M2 again for it to be in the boot menu is this a possible reason or is there something else in bios im missing as ive watched multiple videos on youtube and havent missed a step but seem to fail to get beyond it trying to post. i will post sceen shots of what the Bios changes when i try to run DOCP and again ive tried this with what is on the image and also changing all timing etc back to auto except docp and ram speed.

any help would be greatly appreciated thanks.

This motherboard?

Do verify that I found the applicable User Manual.

Double check that all installed components and configurations are indeed supported. Both current and hoped for....

= = = =

First: The specs list 4GB RAM - is that a type or is that correct? Verify or correct RAM installation and configuration as necessary.

Second: As for overclocking I do not recommend YouTube. The main reference should be the motherboard's User Guide/Manual and/or more serious tutorials such as

https://forums.tomshardware.com/faq/cpu-overclocking-guide-and-tutorial-for-beginners.3347428/

https://www.tomshardware.com/how-to/intel-alder-lake-cpu-overclock-guide

For the most part, for the time being, set aside any further attempts to overclock. Get the system up, running, and stable. Catch up on drivers, updates, backups, etc..

Then with a known working, stable build you can start tinkering with overclocking.

You may discover that all the work and risks gain little in performance. Plus cause stresses that may bring a premature end to some components.

That is the motherbaord and everything is checked as fine

4GB doesn't seem right. BIOS screens show 64GB.
How many modules is it? 2x32GB or 4x16GB ?

You'll have to overclock ram manually.
Set DDR voltage to 1.35V (1.4V is over recommended DDR4 voltage);
Latencies - 18-22-22-22-42
Command Rate - 2T (if you have 4 modules) or 1T (with 2 modules);
Set DRAM frequency to 2666mhz, test,
increase DRAM frequency and test again 2800,2933,3000,3200,3400,3600,3800,4000.
At some point it will fail, then return to previous settings, that worked.

3066Mhz is the hightest i can get it any higher and it fails still up from 2600MHs but still some way off what it can handle any advice on how to get more out of it... the number i would be happy with is between 3200MHz-3600MHz
