Hi all... hopefully I don't catch any flak for asking this.

This is my first post here on Tom's. I just bought my EVGA GTX 580DS, and ousted my EVGA 8800GT. I'm running an AM3+ socket mobo (Asus Crosshair III R.O.G). I'm aware that I can't SLI with my AMD chipset, but I was wondering if it would be possible to use my 8800GT as my dedicated PhysX card, while having my 580DS as my main.

Cheers,

Sauce.

As long as you have the ports for it, yes you can. There are no requirements for a motherboard to use a second card as a Physx card, just drivers.

Im not sure exactly how to set this up but yes you can do that, there are no restrictions.
