Noob question regarding surround nvidia setup

- i was thinking of getting 3x 19inch monitors with DVI their native resolution is 1440x900 for a gaming surround setup

I have an i5 3470, 8gb ddr3 ram, & 2x 660 OC windforce in SLI.

Would i be able to make use of nvidia surround?
Will the the picture be stretched or will i get more actual viewing angles?

I cant afford 3 1080 screens, the 19inch screen's go for basically nothing nowadays.

advice please - i dont want to waste money and be disappointed.
