Well, the first thing you should do is stop using Outlook Express.
Xnews is a good free alternative that can do things OE can't. As for
Roms, try alt.binaries.emulators.mame...

You can get this and other MAME related information on my webpage...

OK. Well I am now using the Xnews reader that you think is so wonderful. as
for 'alt.binaries.emulators.mame' I wouldn't have a clue where to find
that. I had a look at you website and I still don't know how to get to
that. The only newsgroup that has mame in it is this one. If I am doing
something wrong then please let me know. :)

I never said that it was a wonderful program, just that it was free
and supported newsgroup functionality that Outlook Express doesn't.

As for how to get to alt.binaries.emulators.mame, it's another
newsgroup just like this one. You would need to select / subscribe to
that group much as you did alt.games.mame. It's also possible that
your ISP doesn't carry that particular binary group, or any binary
groups at all.

That being the case Cordata, could he not use Google Groups instead?

No, he is looking for binaries which aren't carried by G2

Not to cause trouble or anything, but I swear by Grabit (And QuickPAR
for error checking). It allows me to open up to eight connections to my
news server and gives me a rock-solid 200K connection, to boot. The
current version even has a search function!
