Normal system temp?

Hello,

I just built a new system with a Phenom II 720 and ASUS m4a78t-e.

Im running windows 7. In BIOS it shows the CPU and System temps both at 37c. I downloaded SpeedFan and it shows the temps @ 37c for "temp1 and temp2" and it shows 28c for "core"

Which is which? Are these temps good? These are all at idle by the way.

Yes those temps are good, and I'd go off the Speedfan temps myself. What do they go up to under load? Run Prime95 for a bit to see.

IH8U is right about going off speedfan, because bios settings are when a computer is doing nothing at all. My cpu is at 34 C, my System at 27C and my core is at 48C. Ive never seen a core temp be lower than the core1 and core0 temps, but thats not an issue.
