Hi,
I just got a new rig about a month back. It has the following components:
Phenom II 720 BE
ECS A790GXM-AD3 Board (had no other option)
4GB (2GB x 2) Corsair XMS3 1333 DDR3 Memory 9-9-9-24
640GB WD Caviar Green
Cooler Master CM690 Chassis
ASUS 650W PSU
I couldn't find the GPU I was looking for in the market so that is on hold right now.
The problem is with the operating temperatures of the System. The BIOS shows the CPUs at 45 degrees usually and AMD Overdrive show them running at 41 degrees Celsius. Everything is at the stock setting right now and I'm running Windows 7 with the latest drivers. I was actually going to Overclock the system but stopped when I saw these temperatures.
Are they normal for a 720 BE, given that i'm in Pakistan and its summers here (normal temperature is usually around 40-45 degrees during the day and around 35-38 degrees during the night).
I would like some insight on the temperatures and would like to know if I should go ahead with the overclock. I was aiming to hit 3.2GHz with the stock cooler.
