task manager says only 11gb available

only had chrome open


is this normal, any info/advice?

Total System Memory is 16 GB - does that value match the amount of physically installed RAM?

About 4.5 GB is currently in use.

11 GB remains available.

Not unexpected per se and I would consider it normal.

Especially if there are not performance problems or other issues occurring.

Open a few more apps - likely you will see the available RAM decrease.

Windows keeps unused code in ram so it can be immediately reused.
That is a good thing and is normal.
