Northbridge overclocking wont save when i boot up

im trying to overclock my northbridge to 2400mhz from the 2000mhz i have now. but the thing is when i press f10 in bios and save the changes it dosent actually save. when i open AMD overdrive and check the nb speed its still at 2000mhz. does anyone know any fix for this

What motherboard and CPU do you have? It sounds like it is locked or something is overriding the settings you input. It sounds like a big jump to me too.
