HELLO EVERYONE!
WELCOME to my 2.5 Post in Toms Hardware~!

TEMPORARY FIX

TL;DR:- Make your PSU FAN Face UPWARDS not downwards.

Is your PSU Fan Making any of these noises?

Video 1) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=BadlOoUjGRE
Video 2) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPmcAlVmfGA
Video 3) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=F6W88KW7vYU

If yes, is your PSU Facing Downwards like shown in Video 2?
Acting as an independent Fan from your System?

If Yes again, here is a possible fix for you~

Just Position your PSU fan to be facing upwards, acting as an Exhaust fan from the system.
and this should reduce the banging, hitting or rattling (whatever you call it) noise from the fan.

Easy.

But i want a 100% FIX solution
... Then BUY AN OTHER PSU, AVOID FSP HYDRO G SERIES FOR NOW!!!!

Thanks for Reading.

----------------------------------MY OLD POST NO need to READ----------------------------------

[strike]I AM NOT ASKING FOR A FIX XD, i am just here to say how unlucky i am!!![/strike]
[strike]and Will also be asking why the psu produce such a noise~ thx[/strike]

Okay Here is a short breif of what happened.
Finally have money to upgrade computer, read review about PSU, since i heard buying Second hand PSU is a bad idea so i gone to this site

http://www.tomshardware.com/forum/id-2547993/psu-tier-list.html
So i randomly select a psu form the Tier 1 list; FSP Hydro G
And i check is it available in my country, it is.
Buying it.

After 1-2 Weeks of using it i start hearing Noises coming from the Computer <--- link to the video i recorded.
So i checked all my Fans, and shortly after 2-3 days of random guessing and i think it came from my PSU...i didn't really care since is still new XD

So i went to the shop and stating my problem and Demand, just kidding, Asked for a replacement.

I thought everything was fine...untill 30 minutes later XD
The same sound comes from the PSU again.

Man, Hope you get what i just typed...
Just saying, do you think is the bad PSU batch? or am i really that unlucky?

[strike]And btw, what could be the problem, i just want to know. I am not trying to fix it, i just want to know what causes the Psu to produce such a sound.[/strike]

Thanks~

If my Grammar sucks, i don't care! i never was good with engalashy

nvm, i just read somewhere it doesn't make the core run any faster with other core disable... sad life.

Why would a PSU designer want to implant such feature? Having the fan producing such noise each time the psu fan starts....

Everyone, Buy our NEW redesigned FSP HYDRO G today, Every time the Fan spins it produces a noise to tell you the PSU fan is in WORKING order~! buy our PSU today!... ... ... i hope that is not true.

But i did what you ask , i did a quick youtube search and there is indeed other people reported with the same effect.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MPmcAlVmfGA

and then i check new egg, and one of the review also states "whenever the fan starts up there is a rattling noise. "
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817104199
check the review and scroll down to a guy name "Andrew K" or just press control F; CnP :3

I haven't Read any other reviews about this problem... but just hope i can get a Replacement of some sort instead of just saying is a "feature" and that i will have to live with it XD

I talked to the store i purchased the PSU from, it seems they had contacted the tech support and He is saying even the tech support couldn't figure out what is going on, for now... 🙁

Basically The store gaved me 3 options,
Either
1) Open an other Hydro G 650w PSU and hope that works.
[Upgrade/downgrade]
2) pay a bit of extra cash to get an EVGA supernova G1 <--- G1 not G2... so i really don't want to say yes. because people say G1 isn't as good.
or
3) wait for 1 week...

i pick the third option... i am gona wait and see.
If all else fails, should i just refund my purchase?

Still, anyone know what is happening with the psu?

This is just a small update,

I was randomly browsing on YouTube and i found this review *cough* commercial *cough*.
https://youtu.be/wXFPNGcLCPA?t=5m22s
Turn your volume up to the max, and you will be able to hear the rattling sound produced by the psu when the fan spins up.

He seems to be extremely satisfied with this FSP Hydro G.
(are they all payed to cover up the sound the PSU makes???)
Literally, in this rate i will be thrown into think this "Rattling sound" is just part of the PSU features... ...

WHY ISN'T THERE ANYONE telling me if this is really part of the PSU feature to annoy the **** out of you each time the FAN SPINS!!!!????

Does Fluid Dynamic fans REALLY produce a noise each time it starts???
OR IS it even to do with the fan... ?

I updated my Main Post,
This Would probably be my last Update for this post, since
no one is having this kind of issue with there FSP Hydro G series PSU fan.
And even if there is people having this problem, no one is doing much about it...

If i was you, AVOID BUYING FSP HYDRO G for now, there is nothing wrong with it... Just it produce a loud sound each time the PSU fan spins up only if the PSU fan is facing downwards, is not noticeable if the PSU fan is facing upwards.

XD , no way i am going to destroy my warranty~ and the chance to return the product

I am just gonna replace the FSP Hydro G with a EVGA Supernova G2.

Right now My Hydro G is running Extremely quiet now (like nothing have ever happened) with the psu fan acting as an exhaust, but i am still going to return it.
thx for the contribution to this post ^.^

You don't have to remove the warranty sticker. Just use a Drexel to cut the fan out and weld it back together XD

After a quick google search, i rather try to remove the sticker using hot air gun and use some sort of hot thin plastic tip...
Is more logical.... unless your way of doing is more "Meep" yeah... i urban dictionary your name... i still don't get it.

cause your way, i will need to buy a dremel and some sort of welding tool... which you haven't explain...oh... i need to google it right? but nah, i am too noob to do the welding even if there is a step by step guide.

Thank you very good man. Your post helped me a lot. I was about to throw the block from the river bridge) Now everything works fine)
