I have a samsung 2.1 sound bar and a arris cable box and a Sanyo tv. It worked fine all weekend then today I tried to turn on tv sound bar and cable box and it said on the sound bar no usb. I have the sound bar usb connected to cable box with 1 usb cable and the other is connected to the tv

Not sure why you are using a USB connection at all, that would be for a flash drive not a connection between devices. Make sure your source setting on the soundbar is set to the correct one you have going to the TV. If you have the soundbar connected to the cable box you don't need it also connected to the TV and vice versa.
