Not able to update to 8.1 from windows 8 pro

Pretty much that. The store says the edition of windows I'm using isn't compatible with the 8.1 update and the troubleshooter says You pc doesn't meet the minimal system requirements to update to windows 8.1.

Soo whats the deal mang!

the computer I have is an old lenovo thinkcentre
intel pentium D cpu 3.40ghz

3 gigs ram
32 bit os

When I search for stuff about this it feels like there aren't very many people having problems with this.

How big is the System Reserved partition on your hard drive? 100 MB is too small for 8.1 reserve files for some reason. Try to expand it to 300MB, and you should be able to update your OS

Ok so I reloaded my pc and my system reserve has 350mbs of space which it seems I still can't find to update to 8.1. Was I late on this or something? Can people who have windows 8 still update to 8.1 for free?

Even if i find the update in the store it still tells me my version of windows can't update through the store. Seems like they don't want to update me at all. Any ideas?
