Question not able to use hdd even though its showing up in drive list

hi, i have added an SSD to my system for extra storage, i have gone into disk management and it doesn't show up however if i go onto drive list in the disk management it shows up there, does anyone have any ideas on how to make it show up on disk management so i can format it and use it as a drive, thanks in advance.
