I have installed a new Asus Maximus VI Formula MB with a i7-4770k. My case is a Tt Level 10 GT Snow, and I unhooked the fans from the case's controller and plugged into the MB directly. I have the following fans hooked to these headers:

Front Fan is on OPT_FAN1
Back Fan is on CHA_FAN3
Top Fan is on CHA_FAN2
Side Fan is on CHA_FAN1
CPU Fan is obviously hooked to CPU_FAN and is the only 4 pin fan- all others are 3 wire

Problem is: the BIOS (which I updated to the most recent 1102) nor the AI Suite 3 Fan Xpert 2 do not show most of the fans- they only show the CPU Fan and the back fan. Ever so often, one of the OPT fans will peek out with a RPM reading, even though ALL of the fans are working.

I have checked the BIOS settings and I think have everything set correctly. I did have to enable the OPT fans.

I called Asus tech support, which was a waste of about 20 minutes- could hardly wait to say 'yes' to take the service survey.

Any ideas I can chase? Thanks much!

I plugged it into CHA_FAN1 and it's working and showing fine. So that header is working fine also.

Asus's Forum Mod actually may have stumbled upon something- all the fans that do not show are Tt's Colorshift fans, and he suspects that there might be an issue with them. I have fired off an email to Tt's support to see what they say. I will report back when I find out.

And yes....I am having this problem after updating to the most recent BIOS file.

Thanks!

Well, I remembered all my problems with running AISuite on my Z77 Sabertooth, so I have completely uninstalled AISuite3. Lots less errors showing up and things running a lot better. There's only one item I would like to get rid of: the AMDA00 Interface, which from what I have read online, is part of AISuite3, but the AI Suite cleaner does NOT clean it up. Ideas? Thanks!

I also have noticed tha Asus has a new BIOS version (1203), and I have downloaded it, but will wait to see what comments come up with it...the proverbial "improves system stability" is so nebulous it isn't funny. 🙂
