I have installed a new Asus Maximus VI Formula MB with a i7-4770k. My case is a Tt Level 10 GT Snow, and I unhooked the fans from the case's controller and plugged into the MB directly. I have the following fans hooked to these headers:
Front Fan is on OPT_FAN1
Back Fan is on CHA_FAN3
Top Fan is on CHA_FAN2
Side Fan is on CHA_FAN1
CPU Fan is obviously hooked to CPU_FAN and is the only 4 pin fan- all others are 3 wire
Problem is: the BIOS (which I updated to the most recent 1102) nor the AI Suite 3 Fan Xpert 2 do not show most of the fans- they only show the CPU Fan and the back fan. Ever so often, one of the OPT fans will peek out with a RPM reading, even though ALL of the fans are working.
I have checked the BIOS settings and I think have everything set correctly. I did have to enable the OPT fans.
I called Asus tech support, which was a waste of about 20 minutes- could hardly wait to say 'yes' to take the service survey.
Any ideas I can chase? Thanks much!
